Sock Monkey Birthday

So one of my first purchases when I became a demo was the sock monkey. I've wanted this little guy so badly but never got around to ordering it! I just finally got to use it. My friend Sarah's little boy Garrett will be 5 this weekend and we're going to his party today! Here is what I came up with:

Supplies: Stamps- Sock Monkey and Sock Monkey Accessories from SU; Ink- Palette Noir; Coloring Medium- Copics; CS- SU; DSP- SAB Dashing Dots Paper; Other- SU Scalloped Border Punch and EK Success Dots Border Punch.

I love that the Copic Ciao Marker, Champagne, is a perfect color for the sock monkey body! I am also loving the new EK Success Border Punches from Michael's. They have a huge variety. I'm glad I got this dots one.. it's very cute!

Hope you all enjoy this card! It's just right for a lil boy, don't you think?

New SU goodies!

*Note- No one is paying me for my endorsement of products or stores, I just love to share my love of these things with others! :) Honest!
I got my HUGE order on Thursday Night but didn't get to mount them until Saturday. Mounting is a little more difficult for me because I am going the unmounted route and mounting die cut stamps on ez mount can be a sticky nightmare. However, Christine and Amy over at

have recommended the For Her Creative Hot Knife and I decided it would make my life easier! This hot knife (and it is super hot!) cuts like through like butter! It's awesome. Plus, I mounted 8 sets on 1 and a 1/2 sheets of ez mount because you can get so close!!

I'll be honest, I am having a hard time using all of my SU goodies :( I am having to battle the "you can only use SU stamps with SU paper and SU ink and..." I hate when I get like this. I can do the same thing with CTMH and TAC. Someone come over and help free me! :) I did break out the new stamps and paper though and made two quick cards.

The first is for SCS CC204A- old olive, creamy caramel, and cameo coral. These are all faves of mine!

Supplies- Stamps: Cheep Talk by SU; CS- SU Earth Elements; Ink- SU Choc. Chip, night of navy, creamy caramel, cameo coral, and old olive; Other- SU texture plate, CB, Top Note Die, sponge, dimensionals.

I also had to use one of my new fave sets, Sip by Sip. I love the vintage feel. It's gorgeous. I finally got the Sweet Always DP and knew these colors and the pattern went with my vintage feel :) Oh, the other great thing about mounting on ez mount is I could separate sentiments from images, and separate images- like the 3 cups were one that I made 3.

Supplies- Stamps- SU's Sip by Sip; CS- Pumpkin Pie, Pretty in Pink, Whisper White; DP- Sweet Always; Ink- Choc Chip, Pretty in Pink, Pumpkin Pie; Other- CB, Nestabilities Label 2 Dies.

Again, I LOVE this set.. I can't wait to do more!!

Thanks for looking.. I am now at 87 posts, I think I'll have to have some blog candy at 100!

Moxie Fab World Challenge 5- All Dressed up and Fabulous!

Cath over at Moxie Fab World has posted Challenge 5 which was to make a card inspired by 4 beautiful party dresses. I came up with the following card after being inspired by the square neck of one dress, the silver of the first sequined dress, and the flowers from the floral overlay cocktail gown.

All Dressed Up and Fabulous

Supplies: Paper: Stampin Up Whisper White and Bazzill Bling!; Stamps: Fabulous Flowers by Stampin Up; Ink: Versamark and Palette Noir; Other: Martha Stewart Border Punch, Black EP, American Crafts Silver Ribbon. Finished Size: 5 x 5

Because all the dresses were elegant yet simple, I kept the card simple. As soon as I saw these dresses, this stamp set came to mind and voila, this card was born!

I hope you enjoy it!!
